Where is the light coming from? The light of the portrait is coming from the right form the window.
What is the position or gesture of the model? The models position is turned in to the right just a little bit with her hand up next to the window while the model is looking out of the window.
What is the background or setting? The background setting is a plain brick wall
What is the point of view and distance of the photographer? The point of view is straight on and forward the distance is not that far of a distance it is just a few steps away from the model.
What does the lighting, position of model and expression on face communicate? The lighting expresses darkness with not that much light the position could express that the girl was doing something and he face communicates that she is very serious and expressing that she is into what is going on around her very focused.
